Hell’s Gate National Park
Adventure | Hiking | Cycling
A hiker’s paradise. From cycling among zebra and buffalo to rock climbing at Fischer’s Tower and exploring the legendary gorges, Hell’s Gate delivers Kenya’s wild beauty on foot and wheel. Hell’s Gate is unlike any other park in Kenya.
There are no predators here. No lions, no leopards. What it offers instead is rarer: freedom. You cycle among zebra and buffalo with no roof above you. You walk through gorges where steam rises from geothermal vents. You touch the cliffs of the Rift Valley wall itself.
Fischer’s Tower rises from the valley floor like a sentinel—a volcanic plug sacred to the Maasai and a challenge to rock climbers. Beyond it, the gorges narrow, warm streams trickle underfoot, and the walls close in until you are walking through the fault lines of Africa. This is where The Lion King found its Pride Rock. You will understand why.
